Kim Junsu Gravity Concert Review

Kim Junsu met with fans by holding the Asian tour concert 'XIA Ballad & Musical Concert with Orchestra' in Seoul to commemorate his first full-length album 'Gravity' released after 10 years of debut. The concert was held at the KSPO DOME in Olympic Park, Seoul, and Kim Junsu drew enthusiastic responses from the audience with his unique husky yet explosive vocals and relaxed stage presence.

The concert opened with songs from his new album, 'Beat's knockin'' and 'eXtreme Love'. Despite the songs being new, fans responded with perfect cheering and shouts. Kim Junsu, touched by this, cheerfully began the concert by saying, "​Since all of you who love and cherish me are gathered here, I want to indulge in narcissism in this space."

'Gravity', his full-length album released after 10 years, was an album that Kim Junsu meticulously crafted for a full year while actively working as a musical actor. Kim Junsu said, "​It turns out it's been 10 years since my last full-length album. I felt apologetic for the long time it took," and promised fans, "​I will sing with all my might."

Like the album title, which shares the same name as the concert, this concert held the meaning of looking back on the time when music, the stage, Kim Junsu, and his fans were drawn to each other like gravity. Kim Junsu honestly shared his feelings, saying, "​Every year when I hold a concert, I worry if people will come to see me." He added, "​I couldn't help but worry because I'm holding concerts in large venues that popular idols book. Still, I am grateful to my fans who always blow away my worries and concerns every time I have a concert."

Kim Junsu confided his difficulties, stating that his music-making process has changed over the 10 years he has only performed in musicals. He laughed as he said, "​Nowadays, ten people make one song. The promotion methods have also changed so much. The challenges these days are driving me crazy. Still, I'm trying my best to get on board with the trends." He also expressed his surprise at AI video challenges and confessed, "​The biggest consideration when making the album was you, the fans. I felt the pressure to create a work that I wouldn't be ashamed of in my career."
