Jang Seo Hee Cast in 'Trap of Desire' K-Drama

Actress Jang Seo-hee is returning to the small screen.

Jang Seo-hee will star as the lead in ‘Trap of Desire’ (tentative title), the follow-up drama to KBS2’s daily drama ‘Red Pearl,’ with the production aiming for an August broadcast.

Jang Seo-hee previously earned the nickname ‘Queen of Revenge Dramas’ for her powerful presence and solid acting skills in works like ‘Miss Mermaid’ and ‘Temptation of Wife.’ Attention is now focused on the character and narrative she will portray in this new project.

This marks Jang Seo-hee’s return to a terrestrial broadcast drama since MBC’s ‘The Witch’s Game,’ which concluded in 2023. It is also her first appearance in a KBS drama in 12 years, since ‘The Seagull’s Nest’ in 2014.

Last year, Jang Seo-hee appeared on an entertainment program and stated, "I received MBC and SBS Acting Awards for ‘Miss Mermaid’ and ‘Temptation of Wife,’ respectively," adding, "It is my dream to one day receive an Acting Award from KBS as well."
