SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Chief Kim' has achieved a remarkable feat, surpassing 15% viewership ratings within just two episodes. The drama, which premiered with a 9.5% rating, recorded 15.7% in its second episode, making it the first SBS drama since 'The Penthouse 3' in 2021 to break the 15% viewership mark within two episodes.

In the drama, Joo Sang-wook is captivating audiences with his performance as Joo Kang-chan, a construction company chairman and psychopath with absolute power, who is a former gang member. This marks Joo Sang-wook's first villainous role since his debut. The first and second episodes revealed Joo Kang-chan's ruthless nature. During his image-making process for a political career, he met with Assemblyman Shim in private and recounted his horrific past. Furthermore, when he encountered Chief Kim (played by So Ji-sub) at school after an argument with his daughter Joo Hye-ri, he appeared to accept Chief Kim's apology while simultaneously issuing a stern warning to the principal.
