BIGBANG 20th Anniversary: New Album & World Tour

The group BIGBANG officially announced the release of a new album commemorating their 20th anniversary and plans for a world tour on the stage of the US's largest music festival, 'Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival'. G-Dragon stated, "BIGBANG, having reached its 20th anniversary, is starting anew. We will return with a new album and a world tour," adding, "We have finished preparing the new album and plan to start the world tour in August." This marks their first world tour in approximately nine years, since 2017.

BIGBANG presented a parade of hit songs on the Coachella stage, including 'Bang Bang Bang', 'Lies', 'Haru Haru', and 'Fantastic Baby'. The members showed their wit by changing some of the lyrics to 'Coachella', and the audience responded with a 'sing-along' of the Korean lyrics. Furthermore, G-Dragon performed 'Power', Taeyang sang 'Ringa Linga', and Daesung performed 'Top of the World' and 'Look at Me, Gwisun', showcasing their individual charms. The performance of the unit song 'Good Boy' by G-Dragon and Taeyang also evoked nostalgia among fans.

The members expressed their gratitude to their fans for being with them for the past 20 years. Taeyang said, "I am grateful to our Korean fans watching from afar via streaming and to the many Koreans who came here in person," adding, "The only way we can repay you is with good music and performances." Daesung also added, "Thank you for cherishing us, who were immature in many ways, allowing us to sing for 20 years," and "We will continue to be a BIGBANG that delivers happiness." The sight of the three members embracing each other immediately after the concert brought tears to the eyes of fans.

Previously, according to Coachella's official SNS, BIGBANG's performance video Reels ranked fifth among all performing artists, demonstrating their continued global influence. After successfully completing their Coachella stage, BIGBANG is expected to accelerate their 20th-anniversary activities by embarking on a full-fledged world tour starting in August.
