The TVING original series 'The Legend of the Kitchen Soldier' continues to be a hot topic, with its 7th episode viewership ratings recorded at 7.2% nationwide and 8.1% in the Seoul metropolitan area, a slight decrease from the previous broadcast. However, it maintained its top spot in its time slot among cable and general programming channels, achieving a peak viewership of 8.9% nationwide and 9.6% in the Seoul metropolitan area.

'The Legend of the Kitchen Soldier,' which showed a steep upward trend from its early episodes, breaking its own viewership records each week, saw its growth slow down slightly with 7.2% in the 7th episode, following 7.3% in the 6th. Despite this, its influence within the platform remains strong, ranking first in the number of paying subscribers for three consecutive weeks.

In the 7th episode, Kang Seong-jae (Park Ji-hoon) cleared his name by revealing that contaminated water was the cause of the food poisoning incident. He was then awarded as a combat hero for his contribution to the operation to eliminate the enemy forces. Afterward, he was promoted to private first class, his abilities as a kitchen soldier recognized, and the feature to recruit teammates was unlocked, with Yoon Dong-hyun (Lee Hong-nae) joining as his first team member.

However, Sergeant Kim Gwan-cheol (Kang Ha-kyung) blocked Kang Seong-jae's path, leading to a new mission titled 'Surviving Sergeant Kim Gwan-cheol's Reign of Terror.' Kim Gwan-cheol escalated the conflict by interfering with the kitchen operations and using ingredients without authorization.

After learning that Kim Gwan-cheol was a former kitchen soldier and had lost his grandmother during his military service, Kang Seong-jae recreated 'Grandma's Handmade Hamburger,' a dish from Kim Gwan-cheol's memories. Upon tasting the hamburger, completed with the help of Park Jae-young (Yoon Kyung-ho) and Yoon Dong-hyun, Kim Gwan-cheol recalled his childhood memories and his late grandmother, setting aside his animosity and accepting Kang Seong-jae as a colleague.
