Park Shin Hye's 'Judge From Hell' Season 2

Park Shin-hye has chosen SBS drama 'Judge from Hell' Season 2 as her comeback project after childbirth. This was first revealed by Studio S CEO Hong Sung-chang at the ‘SBS Drama Media Day: NEXT EPISODE’ event held on the 1st at Hotel Naru Seoul MGallery in Mapo-gu, Seoul.

'Judge from Hell' was a beloved work, recording its highest viewership rating of 13.6% in 2024. It provided catharsis to viewers with its intense private enforcement narrative of punishing villains in a devilish manner. Park Shin-hye played the role of Kang Bit-na, a judge possessed by a devil, showcasing a groundbreaking acting transformation. Currently pregnant with her second child, Park Shin-hye plans to return with 'Judge from Hell' Season 2 after recovering from childbirth.

Since the launch of Studio S, SBS has planned and produced about 60 dramas over six years, producing numerous hit works such as ‘Hot Stove League’, ‘The Penthouse’, ‘Dr. Romantic’, ‘The Fiery Priest’, and ‘Taxi Driver’. In particular, ‘Dr. Romantic’, ‘Taxi Driver’, ‘The Fiery Priest’, and ‘Good Partner’, among others, have been produced as series, proving their successful franchise power. SBS Programming Director Kim Ki-seulk cited the strong trust and chemistry between the production team and actors as the secret to the success of season-based dramas, including ‘Judge from Hell’.

At this event, a diverse new lineup was unveiled, including the So Ji-sub starring ‘The Chief’, Kim Ji-won starring ‘Doctor X’, Park Min-young and Yuk Sung-jae in ‘Nine to Six’, Lee Joon-hyuk in ‘Awakening’, Lee Je-hoon and Ha Young in ‘It’s a Sure Thing’, ‘Flex x Cop Season 2’, and ‘Good Partner Season 2’. Additionally, in 2027, Kim Nam-gil starring ‘Nightmare’, Kim Rae-won starring baseball drama ‘Full Count’, and Shin Hye-sun starring ‘Dash’ are scheduled to be programmed. Along with this, Shin Hye-sun starring ‘Dash’ has also been confirmed for production.

SBS plans to strengthen its presence in the drama market by resuming weekday drama programming from the second half of the year. Programming Director Kim Ki-seulk stated that they will expand weekday drama programming to present more diverse and challenging works, including sports dramas, romantic comedies, and mystery thrillers. He also added that AI technology will be actively utilized to enhance production efficiency and create creative synergy.
