Nana's Life on Hold After Stabbing Incident

ENA drama 'Climax' concluded on the 14th, depicting the desires and choices of characters within a power cartel vying for the top position in South Korea. Actress Nana played the role of Hwang Jeong-won, the shadow informant of Bang Tae-seop (played by Ju Ji-hoon).

In episodes 9 and the finale, Nana showcased a strong presence amidst a scandal involving her relationship with Choo Sang-ah (played by Ha Ji-won). She displayed a fierce side by warning Lee Yang-mi (played by Cha Joo-young) not to provoke Choo Sang-ah, and in a moment of crisis, she took an attack meant for Choo Sang-ah, ultimately dying from a stab wound.

The USB left by Hwang Jeong-won contained clues that Lee Yang-mi was the true culprit behind Park Jae-sang's death, which became a crucial turning point in solving the case. Although she was a character who always stayed in the background, Hwang Jeong-won played a pivotal role in changing the course of events at the last moment, serving as a key axis that heightened the drama's tension until the very end.

Nana convincingly portrayed the character's complex inner self through her expressive eyes filled with deep emotion. Notably, unlike her usual restrained demeanor, she demonstrated an expanded emotional range in a scene where she broke down in tears to protect Choo Sang-ah, leaving a profound lingering impression. Her performance, which densely conveyed the weight of accumulated emotions, shone brightly.

In her closing remarks, Nana stated, "It was precious to experience Hwang Jeong-won's short yet profound life. Through this character, I was able to reflect on my own life and contemplate my future choices more deeply."
