K-Drama 'The Devil Judge' Legal Drama's Charm

The charming points of SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama "Woo, Ghost" have been revealed. The second teaser video has previewed the "​horror-mance" between Shin Eu-seok (played by Yoo Yeon-seok), the male lead obsessed with ghosts, and Han Na-hyun (played by Lee Som), an elite lawyer strangely drawn to him.

"Woo, Ghost" is scheduled to premiere on March 13th and depicts the peculiar yet warm catharsis adventure of Shin Eu-seok, a "possessed lawyer" who resolves the grudges of the deceased, and Han Na-hyun, a "cold-blooded elite lawyer" who risks everything for victory.

The second teaser video hints at the atmosphere of "horror-mance," a combination of horror and romance. The relationship that began with a slap evolves into fluttering excitement, and the emotional connection between the two, intertwined through ghosts, raises the romantic temperature and promises new fun. The video begins with a tense encounter between Shin Eu-seok and Han Na-hyun in a private space, not a courtroom. After hesitation, Shin Eu-seok says, "​It's a ghost," but Han Na-hyun, flustered, asks, "​What?" Unfazed, Shin Eu-seok continues to search for ghosts, eventually being called "​crazy," but he seriously explains the situation, saying, "​A new ghost just arrived," and gets slapped by Han Na-hyun.

The relationship between the two, who seem to push each other away yet keep encountering each other, takes a turn when Han Na-hyun, frustrated, exclaims, "How can you not understand people's feelings?!" to Shin Eu-seok, who approaches her saying, "​Are you perhaps angry?" A strange chemistry begins to flow between the man who sees ghosts well but not people's hearts, and the woman who doesn't believe in ghosts but finds her emotions swayed in front of Shin Eu-seok. Subsequent scenes show moments that seem to transition into the romance genre, such as holding hands and running on a snowy day, walking side-by-side in traditional Korean attire, and embracing each other in front of a carousel at an amusement park. Han Na-hyun confesses her true feelings, saying, "​I'm different from Lawyer Shin," yet also admitting, "​That's why I feel good when we're together," creating a warm atmosphere different from their previous conflicts.

The ending, where Shin Eu-seok stands nervously before Han Na-hyun and seems about to confess, "I'm going to tell you, my feelings," heightens the excitement to its peak. The drama raises questions about how the feelings of these two, who met as opposing lawyers needing to legally battle over cases, will develop through a connection initiated by ghosts, and how their slap-marked encounter will transform into fluttering romance.
