Lee Dong Wook & Jung Yu Mi Star in 'World of the Married' Director's New Drama

Actress Jung Yu-mi will appear in the new Netflix original series "​Love Affair." This project, directed by Director Mo Wan-il, who also helmed "The World of the Married," is drawing attention for its star-studded cast, including Lee Dong-wook, Jeon So-nee, and Lee Jong-won. Jung Yu-mi will play Seon-hee, the wife of Ji-hoon (played by Lee Dong-wook), portraying the complex emotions of a character who confronts the shocking truth of a relationship.

"Love Affair" tells the story of how the lives of four men and women are completely shaken due to two people who spend an unforgettable night in a foreign land. Lee Dong-wook plays Ji-hoon, a character experiencing a rift between rational judgment and emotion, while Jeon So-nee takes on the role of Hoo-kyung, who delves into everything about Ji-hoon, leading the central axis of the drama. Jung Yu-mi joins as Ji-hoon's wife, Seon-hee, and Lee Jong-won plays Dae-hee, Seon-hee's younger brother who becomes entangled in an unexpected relationship with Hoo-kyung, adding tension to the drama.

Director Mo Wan-il has been praised for his directing skills, which persistently delve into the inner workings of characters, and is expected to portray the subtle cracks in relationships and emotional waves with depth in this work. Writer Ha Su-jin has gained attention for her realistic emotional portrayal and relatable dialogue, and through "Love Affair," she plans to delicately weave the complex threads of relationships between characters.

Jung Yu-mi has earned the nickname "Yum-vely" by maximizing the lovely charm of her characters in works such as "Love on a Rainy Day," "Discovery of Love," and "I Need Romance 2012." She has also shown a wide spectrum of acting through realistic performances in the film "Kim Ji-young, Born 1982" and the dramas "Live" and "The School Nurse Files." Notably, she won the Best Actress Award at the 44th Blue Dragon Film Awards for her realistic portrayal of the tenderness and madness of a newlywed couple in the film "​Sleep."

Lee Dong-wook has proven his acting spectrum across various genres through "A Good Man," "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God," "Strangers from Hell," and the "Tale of the Nine Tailed" series, and is expected to showcase complex inner acting in this production. Jeon So-nee has demonstrated delicate and in-depth emotional acting in "Parasite," "Melomovie," and "You Have Killed Me," and is highly anticipated for her role as the mysterious character 'Hoo-kyung,' whose true intentions are impossible to discern, in this drama. Lee Jong-won is drawing attention as a next-generation rising star, showcasing solid acting skills in various works such as "The Golden Spoon," "The Midnight Studio," and "Bad Memory Eraser."
