Seungkwan's Tears, Moon Sua's Letter: K-pop Idol's Emotional Moment
Seventeen's Seungkwan shed tears while commemorating his close friend, the late Moonbin. On April 19th, the third anniversary of Moonbin's passing, Seungkwan remembered him while performing his solo song 'Dandelion' at a concert held at the Incheon Inspire Arena. This song, released in 2024, is a self-composed track expressing memories and emotions for the departed. After finishing the song, Seungkwan, unable to hold back his emotions, shed tears and stated, "This is a song I wrote for Bin, whom I loved so much." He added, "Coincidentally, today is the anniversary of my friend Bin's passing. Three years have already passed. I wanted to make sure he was remembered, even just once more."

Billlie member Moon Sua, Moonbin's younger sister, also sent a heartfelt message to her brother. Moon Sua posted a cover video of Christopher's song 'Moments' on her social media with the caption, "Brother, it's been a while. I wonder what song you brought this time?" She shared, "You liked this song, brother. The lyrics are so good. It felt like exactly what I wanted to say," and announced that she is currently preparing for her first full-length album comeback. She also expressed her longing, saying, "Praise me when we meet. I miss you and love you very much."
Moonbin passed away on April 19, 2023, at the age of 25. Following the sudden news, his colleagues halted their schedules to mourn him, and memorial events have continued annually since then. For the first anniversary, Astro members released 'Fly,' and for the second anniversary, 'In My Dream,' featuring numerous artists, was released. Although the methods of commemoration have changed over time, the memory of the departed continues.

Regarding the preparation process for the memorial song, Moon Sua confided, "I had so many thoughts while preparing. It was the first time singing for my brother, so I felt even more nervous and cautious. I guess I wanted to do well for him that much. I wanted to convey my feelings, even in this way." She also revealed her longing, saying, "I'm really living diligently, you know? There are days I endure, days I smile, and days that are a mess, but the more so, I've tried to live more bravely. I feel like my brother would say, 'Yes~ you did well' if he saw me."
