Scarecrow Cha Siyeong Buries Kang Taeju Alive

In episode 10 of ENA's Monday-Tuesday drama 'The Scarecrow,' Kang Tae-joo (Park Hae-soo) and Cha Si-young (Lee Hee-joon) engaged in a dangerous psychological battle over Yoon Hye-jin's (Lee Ah-rin) body. The broadcast recorded a viewership rating of 7.9% nationwide and 7.8% in the Seoul metropolitan area, breaking its own highest rating. The highest minute-by-minute rating soared to 8.8%, securing the No. 1 spot in its time slot across all channels and the No. 1 position among Monday-Tuesday dramas.

Kang Tae-joo was shocked to learn that the youngest detective, Park Dae-ho (Ryu Hae-joon), was involved in hiding the body. However, Park Dae-ho confessed that he had retrieved the body before the search, but someone had already taken it away. Kang Tae-joo began to suspect Cha Si-young's side was behind it.

Kang Tae-joo directly confronted Cha Si-young, saying, "Give Hye-jin back," and handed over a radioactive isotope test report as evidence related to the serial murder case. Cha Si-young was convinced that Kang Tae-joo had figured out the culprit, but this was a trap set by Kang Tae-joo. The two continued a deceptive negotiation over the location of Yoon Hye-jin's body.

Ultimately, Cha Si-young lured Kang Tae-joo to a remote mountain through Park Sang-beom (Gil Eun-seong). After being betrayed and falling into a pit, Kang Tae-joo regained consciousness and faced Cha Si-young looking down at him. Cha Si-young delivered a shocking blow by saying, "It's a shame this is our last meeting. Let's never see each other again," and buried Kang Tae-joo alive.

In Im Seok-man's (Baek Seung-hwan) trial, he was cleared of the serial killer charges but was convicted as a copycat of the 7th case and sentenced to life imprisonment, leading him to cry out in anguish. Thirty years later, Lee Ki-hwan (Jung Moon-sung) confessed that he had also committed the 7th case, adding to the tragedy.
