Park Jihoon's 'Weak Hero Class 1' Hits OTT

The movie "The Man Who Lived with the King" (hereinafter referred to as "The King") will be released on Coupang Play starting on the 29th as an "individual purchase" service. This marks its OTT release 76 days after its theatrical debut on February 4th. "The King" has been a long-term box office success, surpassing 16.6 million cumulative viewers and ranking second in all-time box office performance. It continues to maintain a high position in the box office charts, suggesting its success is likely to continue in homes.

"The Man Who Lived with the King" tells the story of a village chief who voluntarily takes on exile for the sake of his village's prosperity and a young former king, banished from the throne, set in Cheongnyeongpo in 1457. The film stars Yoo Hae-jin, Park Ji-hoon, Yoo Ji-tae, Jeon Mi-do, Kim Min, Park Ji-hwan, Lee Joon-hyuk, and Ahn Jae-hong, and is directed by Jang Hang-jun. There are no post-credit scenes.

"The Man Who Lived with the King" received a total of 7 nominations at the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards. This ties it with Park Chan-wook's "Decision to Leave" for the most nominations. The nominated categories are Best Picture, Best Director (Jang Hang-jun), Best Screenplay, Best Actor (Yoo Hae-jin), Best Supporting Actor (Yoo Ji-tae), Best Supporting Actress (Jeon Mi-do), and Best New Actor (Park Ji-hoon).

The 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards will consider broadcast, film, theater, and musical content released between April 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026. The awards ceremony will be held on May 8th at 7:50 PM in Hall D of COEX, Seoul, and will be broadcast live on JTBC, JTBC2, and JTBC4.
