Rivaldo's Seoul Visit: Why the Soccer Star is in Seongsu-dong

Brazilian football star Rivaldo visited the Musinsa Mega Store in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, enjoying shopping for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. His spouse, Elija Kaminski Pereira, accompanied him.

Rivaldo came to Korea on the 4th to participate in the '2026 Champions Impact in Seoul' football event match, and it appears he visited Seongsu-dong to utilize his time before the game.

He purchased pants from the domestic outdoor brand Welter Experiment, a ball cap from Miseki Seoul, and a knit and denim pants from Musinsa Standard. In the beauty zone, he also bought K-beauty products such as Chard masks, Phytoboplus sunscreen, and Notherup toothpaste, and it is reported that his total purchase amount exceeded 1.5 million won.

Seongsu-dong is emerging as a must-visit destination for foreign tourists recently, with a concentration of fashion and beauty brand showrooms, select shops, and pop-up stores. Due to high interest in K-fashion, the influx of overseas visitors is steadily increasing. In fact, foreigners accounted for 52% of the total transaction value at the Musinsa Store Seongsu in March, exceeding half.

Rivaldo commented, "I was impressed by the large scale of the store and the variety of products available in one place", adding, "​I would like to visit again the next time I come to Korea."
