K-Drama Show 'Pyeonstorang' Schedule Change News

Park Hyung-geun PD of KBS2's entertainment program 'Pyeonstorang' shared his thoughts after the first broadcast following the schedule change. In a phone call with OSEN, PD Park revealed his feelings about the schedule change, stating, "​Honestly, it's 50/50."

Previously, 'Pyeonstorang' aired every Friday at 8:30 PM. However, due to the start of 2026 KBO League broadcasts every Friday on KBS2, the broadcast time was changed to 9:40 PM starting with the episode on the 3rd.

Regarding the background of the schedule change, PD Park explained, "As a public broadcaster, KBS has an obligation and responsibility to broadcast sports, so we decided to start broadcasting baseball, and I empathize with that intention." He also revealed the strategy behind the Friday schedule, stating, "​We intended to create a harmonious viewing experience where viewers can relieve stress by watching baseball, then enjoy delicious food while watching 'Pyeonstorang', and finally find healing with 'The Seasons – Sung Si-kyung's Ear Candy'."

However, the possibility of broadcast delays due to baseball games is posing a risk for 'Pyeonstorang'. The previous day's broadcast also started around 10:10 PM, about 30 minutes later than the scheduled time, due to a delay in the baseball game. PD Park expressed his difficulties, saying, "​Rather than just being postponed, sports, especially baseball, are inning-based games with no time limit. If there are many runs like yesterday, it can end late. Conversely, it can also end early, so it's difficult because the viewing time fluctuates."

PD Park acknowledged that viewers might be confused and added a request, saying, "I hope viewers understand the schedule not as a fixed time, but as a flow where after baseball, they can enjoy delicious food and find healing right after watching the exciting game."
