Lee Gook-joo also addressed rumors of her immigrating to Japan on the MBC entertainment show 'Radio Star,' explaining, "My work in Korea decreased significantly, and all my regular programs ended. Rather than just waiting, I decided to find a place in Japan to film content." She stated, "I was surprised by how many people contacted me. She confessed to practicing 'frugal tech' to save living expenses, such as selling her camper van and using an AI teacher instead of private tutoring in Japan. Although the monthly rent for her Japanese apartment is 1.3 million won, she expressed satisfaction with its location, noting the proximity of kitchenware streets and supermarkets within walking distance. When Kim Gu-ra asked if she was saving due to anxiety despite having money, Lee Gook-joo replied, "I tend to spend money, so when I receive a large sum, I tend to keep it at home, meaning I don't have much cash on hand to spend immediately."
