Le Sserafim's Kim Chaewon Pauses Activities

Kim Chaewon, a member of the group LE SSERAFIM, will temporarily halt her activities due to neck pain. Her agency, Source Music, announced on the 19th that Kim Chaewon recently received medical treatment and was advised by her doctor to rest for a period and monitor her recovery progress.

Consequently, Kim Chaewon will not participate in scheduled events such as university festivals, ‘Spotify PURE FLOWERS LIVE’, and music broadcasts. This hiatus is drawing particular attention amid fan concerns about the choreography for LE SSERAFIM's new song ‘CELEBRATION’. The performance includes intense headbanging moves, leading some fans to worry about Kim Chaewon's neck health and request choreography modifications.

Indeed, Kim Chaewon appeared uncomfortable, seemingly straining her neck, during a recent university festival performance. Scenes from a live broadcast where she mentioned neck pain have also resurfaced, increasing fans' worries. Source Music added, “We believe it is necessary to prioritize the artist's health and safety and focus on her full recovery,” and stated that future schedules will be managed flexibly based on her recovery status.

LE SSERAFIM was scheduled to release their second full album, ‘PUREFLOW pt.1’, on the 22nd. However, due to Kim Chaewon's hiatus, the group will have to carry out the initial comeback promotions with four members for the time being.
