Uniqlo Myeongdong Flagship Store Grand Opening
Uniqlo has opened its largest global flagship store in South Korea in Myeongdong, Seoul. This marks their return to a key commercial district approximately five years after closing their Myeongdong store due to the 2019 Japanese boycott and the COVID-19 pandemic. The newly opened Myeongdong flagship store spans three floors and a total area of 3,254.8 square meters (approximately 1,000 pyeong), consolidating Uniqlo's entire LifeWear lineup for women, men, kids, and babies in one location.

Notably, the UT Zone offers the customization service 'UTme!', allowing customers to design their own t-shirts and tote bags. This service enables the creation of unique products using various image stickers from brands like Disney and Sanrio. Additionally, limited-edition t-shirts in collaboration with local brands symbolizing Myeongdong will be available exclusively at the Myeongdong store. Furthermore, the popular 'Monchhichi' UT t-shirts will be available first at the Myeongdong store starting from its opening day on the 22nd.

The second floor showcases product lines for women, kids, and babies. Throughout the store, photographic works depicting the history and changes of Myeongdong are exhibited, offering a cultural experience alongside shopping. Moreover, the entire lineup of the collaboration collection with Danish designer brand Cecilie Bahnsen will be available exclusively at the Myeongdong store. A dedicated private fitting room for female customers is also separately provided.
The third floor houses the men's product line, offering a wider selection of premium linen products in approximately 40 colors compared to other stores. Additionally, the 'RE.UNIQLO STUDIO' is introduced for the first time in Korea, providing services where customers can repair existing Uniqlo clothing or embellish them with embroidery. This initiative embodies the brand's message emphasizing the circular economy and sustainability of clothing.
