Park Jihoon's Drama 'Promoter' Ritual Ceremony

Singer and actor Park Ji-hoon has ultimately declined the offer to appear in tvN's new drama 'Promoter'. As a result, the production team plans to search for a new actor.

Park Ji-hoon was offered the role of Jang Jeong-gu, a WBC light flyweight boxer, in 'Promoter'. Jang Jeong-gu is a character with innate talent who repeatedly faces setbacks just before winning. Expectations were high for Park Ji-hoon's performance with his Busan dialect and his transformation into a boxer character, but his appearance ultimately did not materialize.

'Promoter' is a human sports drama depicting the meeting between Shim Young-ja, the world's first female promoter, and Jang Jeong-gu, a boxer who relies on hard work. It is planned to portray the process of becoming a world champion and will contain human stories.

Instead of appearing in this drama, Park Ji-hoon plans to focus on his fan concert Asia tour 'RE:FLECT'. This tour will take place in 11 cities across 10 countries, including Tokyo, Japan, starting on August 29, followed by Seoul, Malaysia, and Vietnam.

Park Ji-hoon's film 'Love My Scent', released earlier this year, drew over 16 million viewers nationwide, and he won two awards at the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards, including the Best New Actor award in the film category. He is also currently continuing his acting career by appearing in the TVING original series 'The Legend of the Cooking Soldier'.
