Singer Son Tae-jin is taking on sports entertainment by joining SBS's new variety show '​Passionate Basketball Team: Rising Eagles'. This program is a real sports variety show where celebrities and sports stars team up to compete in national basketball games.

Son Tae-jin was known as an 'all-around sportsman' for his outstanding skills in various ball sports like basketball and soccer during his school days. Through his personal web variety show 'Why is Jin Like This', he has proven his athletic ability, competitive spirit, and perseverance by taking on multiple sports including basketball, baseball, and billiards. In particular, in the first episode of the web variety show, he showcased his skills by successfully making a back shot and a one-handed shot while facing away from the basket.

Son Tae-jin expressed his thoughts, stating, "Sports have been a great source of energy in my life," and "​I am excited to meet viewers with a different side of myself through 'Passionate Basketball Team'."
