Kim Soo Hyun Denies False Rumors

Actor Kim Soo-hyun's agency has released a statement regarding the arrest warrant request for Kim Se-eui, CEO of the YouTube channel 'Garo Sero Institute' (hereinafter referred to as 'Gaseyeon'). Police have determined that the allegations of Kim Soo-hyun and the late Kim Sae-ron dating during their minor years, as claimed by CEO Kim Se-eui, were false. The Seoul Gangnam Police Station stated in the arrest warrant application submitted to the prosecution that CEO Kim Se-eui disseminated false information for the purpose of defamation, knowing that there was no romantic relationship between Kim Soo-hyun and the deceased when they were minors.

Police have also determined that the KakaoTalk conversation data and the deceased's voice recording, which CEO Kim Se-eui had publicly released, were manipulated. It was revealed that CEO Kim Se-eui edited and manipulated a total of seven instances in the KakaoTalk screenshot photos received from the deceased's family, such as changing the conversation partner's name to 'Kim Soo-hyun'. The voice file of the deceased, released at a press conference in May of last year, is also suspected of being manipulated by artificial intelligence (AI). At the time, CEO Kim Se-eui used the voice recording as evidence to claim that the deceased had been dating Kim Soo-hyun since middle school.

It is known that lawyer Boo Ji-seok, who was the legal representative for the late Kim Sae-ron's family along with CEO Kim Se-eui, has also been booked by investigative authorities. Lawyer Ko Sang-rok, legal representative for Kim Soo-hyun, stated, "Kim Soo-hyun's side did not sue lawyer Boo Ji-seok," adding, "It appears that investigative authorities confirmed lawyer Boo Ji-seok's involvement as an accomplice during the investigation and converted him into a suspect." Lawyer Ko expressed shock, saying, "It is highly unusual for a suspect's lawyer to be recognized as an accomplice during an investigation and be converted into a suspect."

Lawyer Ko Sang-rok claimed that lawyer Boo Ji-seok, at the press conference held with CEO Kim Se-eui last year, released KakaoTalk conversations between the deceased and someone other than Kim Soo-hyun, and presented them as if they were messages from Kim Soo-hyun. He explained that at the time, the conspiracy between them was not clearly revealed, so they were not included in the initial lawsuit targets. However, he added that based on the arrest warrant application directly released by CEO Kim Se-eui, it is understood that lawyer Boo Ji-seok's conspiracy was confirmed during the investigation.

Previously, in March of last year, the YouTube channel 'Gaseyeon' raised suspicions of a minor relationship and private life issues with the late Kim Sae-ron through a video. Kim Soo-hyun held a press conference to completely refute these allegations and is currently pursuing civil and criminal proceedings, including a lawsuit for 12 billion won in damages against the deceased's family and CEO Kim Se-eui. The pre-arrest investigative questioning (warrant examination) for CEO Kim Se-eui is scheduled to be held at the Seoul Central District Court on the 26th.
