Byeon Woo-seok Tops May Actor Brand Reputation Rankings

Actor Byun Woo-seok ranked first in the May 2026 actor brand reputation survey. The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute analyzed 224,437,903 pieces of big data for 100 actors who appeared in dramas, movies, and OTT platforms from April 21 to May 21, 2026, to determine the rankings.

Byun Woo-seok achieved a total brand reputation index of 13,270,451, with a participation index of 3,766,564, a media index of 3,762,739, a communication index of 3,072,912, and a community index of 2,668,235. This represents a 98.14% increase compared to April.

Park Ji-hoon ranked second (brand reputation index 11,929,116, a 24.40% increase), and Yoo Hae-jin ranked third (brand reputation index 8,213,699, a 65.50% increase). Following them, Kim Jae-won (4th) and Kim Hye-yoon (5th) also placed in the top ranks.

Gu Chang-hwan, the director of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, analyzed, "Byun Woo-seok's brand ranked first, which is a result of a 29.81% increase in actor brand big data compared to April." He added, "Byun Woo-seok's brand, which is growing with a strong fandom community, was analyzed as number one, with Park Ji-hoon's brand ranking second and Yoo Hae-jin's brand ranking third."

Meanwhile, Byun Woo-seok appeared as Prince Ian in the recently concluded MBC drama 'The Princess of the 21st Century,' but the drama faced criticism for historical distortion. In relation to this, Byun Woo-seok, along with IU, writer Yoo Ji-won, and director Park Joon-hwa, issued apologies. Byun Woo-seok is scheduled to meet the public next in the Netflix series 'Solo Leveling.'
