JYP's New Girl Group 'Kira-Cl' Trademarked
JYP Entertainment is drawing the attention of K-pop fandom by filing for multiple new trademarks with the Korean Intellectual Property Office. In particular, the name ‘KIRAKLE’ is being discussed as a potential name for a new girl group or a new unit.
On the 23rd of last month, JYP Entertainment filed for four new trademarks, ‘KIRAKLE’, ‘TIRUMICO’, ‘CAPPUSIA’, and ‘CHERYSHA’, in both Korean and English. Each trademark was filed under different product and service classifications.

‘CAPPUSIA’ was designated for class 18 related to bags, ‘CHERYSHA’ for classes 14 and 16 related to accessories, and ‘TIRUMICO’ for classes 3, 9, and 14 related to cosmetics, apps, and accessories. These three names were filed under product classifications, not entertainment service업 (class 41).

On the other hand, ‘KIRAKLE’ was uniquely designated for entertainment service업 (class 41). This adds weight to the possibility that ‘KIRAKLE’ is a candidate for a new girl group or unit name. JYP Entertainment has a precedent of debuting a group approximately five months after filing for the ‘NMIXX’ trademark.
The expansion into merchandise and lifestyle areas is also noteworthy in this filing. JYP has previously filed for multiple trademarks such as ‘DOUBLETHECAKE’, ‘dodree’, and ‘D25’ between March and May 2025, across various industries including cosmetics, content, and apparel.
