Singer and actor Lee Seung-gi has donated his entire appearance fee for KBS 1TV's 'Donghaeng' Family Month special broadcast to ChildFund Korea, a child welfare organization. ChildFund Korea announced that they plan to use these donations to support children's families in need, including the Hyunseong family.
Since 2015, ChildFund Korea has partnered with KBS on the program 'Donghaeng' to introduce the stories of children's families facing economic hardship and support them through the sharing of donors. Lee Seung-gi, who previously appeared on 'Donghaeng' for a Lunar New Year special in 2015, participated in the Family Month special broadcast 11 years later.

In this broadcast, Lee Seung-gi stepped in to help a grandfather caring for his daughter with borderline intellectual functioning and his grandson with developmental disabilities. Lee Seung-gi visited Hyunseong's home to help with farm work and offer comfort upon hearing the story of the grandfather, who continues to work tirelessly for his family despite his deteriorating health, and his grandson Hyunseong, who follows him. The 'Donghaeng' episode featuring Lee Seung-gi will air on KBS1TV at 6 PM on the 2nd.
Meanwhile, Lee Seung-gi married actress Lee Da-in in April 2023, welcomed their first daughter in February 2024, and announced their second pregnancy in February of this year. Lee Da-in is the daughter of actress Kyeon Mi-ri and the younger sister of Lee Yu-bi.
