Minju expressed her excitement about showing a different side to their fandom 'Glit' and asked fans to look forward to their unpredictable charm. Wonhee explained that the album title 'MAMIHLAPINATAPAI' is from the language of the Yaghan people of South America, meaning a moment of unspoken, mutual desire where neither party makes the first move, and that this album expresses the subtle emotions between excitement and tension after a first date.
Regarding the title track 'It's Me', Yunah described it as an exciting and addictive song from the intro that is easy to sing along to. Moka found the unexpected techno genre refreshing and stated that the direct lyrics, which shout "Your favorite is me!" to a person they like, felt satisfying. Wonhee was surprised by the intense sound, different from ILLIT's previous songs, and felt excited about their broadened spectrum.
