Jin Sori Crowned Miss Chunhyang 2026

Trot singer Jin Sori (real name Kim Do-hyeon), who is also the older sister of singer Kim Da-hyeon, was selected as 'Miss Chunhyang Jeong' at the '96th Chunhyang Festival Global Chunhyang Selection Contest'. The contest was held on the 30th at the main stage of Gwanghalluwon in Namwon City.

On the final stage, Jin Sori showcased her talent by performing 'Sarangga' from the Pansori 'Chunhyangga,' earning applause. Born in Cheonghak-dong, Jirisan Mountain, she majored in Pansori from the age of four and has experience as the main vocalist of a fusion girl group for five years. She is currently active as a solo artist.

Jin Sori stated, "Having learned 'Chunhyangga' and tradition since childhood, I understand Chunhyang better than anyone else." She added, "Just as the most Korean things are the most global, I will become a global Chunhyang, Kim Do-hyeon, who conveys the story of Namwon and Chunhyang to the world through movements and sounds that encompass both tradition and modernity."

Jin Sori, known as the daughter of Cheonghak-dong's Kim Bong-gon and the older sister of Kim Da-hyeon, debuted as a trot singer in September 2025 with her first album 'Uwha,' releasing 12 songs.
