T.O.P's 20th Anniversary Confession: What It Means

T.O.P (Choi Seung-hyun) from BIGBANG has released a pictorial showcasing his deepened gaze and strengthened inner self as he celebrates his 20th debut anniversary. He graced the cover of the May issue of fashion magazine WWD Korea, presenting a concept photoshoot inspired by his new album title, ‘ANOTHER DIMENSION’. In this photoshoot, T.O.P left a strong impression by embodying abstract concepts with his unique charisma and restrained atmosphere, through images that transition between being an 'object of observation' and a 'subject of observation'.

In an interview accompanying the photoshoot, T.O.P shared his reflections on reaching his 20th debut anniversary. He stated, "As I've passed through my thirties, I'm focusing on a time of emptying myself, moving beyond the stage of confronting my ego." He further revealed his mature inner world, saying, "​Rather than clinging to something, I strive to fill the void with an attitude of learning from the world."

T.O.P also likened his life to an art movement. He said, "I've lived a surrealist life, but what I always aim for is minimalism," adding, "​I don't want any more drama in my life." He also conveyed his current mindset, stating, "​I want to be a reliable presence that those around me can feel at ease looking at."
