Seventeen's Seungkwan Takes on Dramatic K-Drama Role
Seungkwan, a member of the group Seventeen, will take on his first dramatic acting role 11 years after his debut. An official from his agency, Pledis Entertainment, stated that Seungkwan is in talks to appear in the drama ‘Wed-Thu-Fri’ (working title).

Earlier, My Daily exclusively reported that Seungkwan had received an offer to appear in the drama ‘Wed-Thu-Fri’ and had recently completed a script reading. ‘Wed-Thu-Fri’ is a story about the romance between a man who is a chef and a woman with deep ties to a restaurant, set against the backdrop of a restaurant that is only open on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Actors Shin Min-a, Lee Jin-wook, and Yoo Teo are reportedly considering appearing in the drama.

Since his debut with Seventeen in 2015, Seungkwan has been active not only in music but also in various broadcast programs, showcasing his excellent hosting skills and variety show talent. Last year, he promoted Seventeen's fifth full-length album ‘HAPPY BURSTDAY’ to commemorate their 10th anniversary and held the world tour ‘NEW_’. He is also active as a team manager for the MBC variety show ‘Rookie Director Kim Yeon-koung’ and as the MC for the YouTube channel ‘Seungkwan's Bibidi Bobidi Boo’.

This appearance in ‘Wed-Thu-Fri’ marks Seungkwan's first attempt at dramatic acting. He previously took on acting challenges through short films and web drama content on YouTube channels such as Nudeul and Father's. Having already shown his acting skills in short videos, there is much interest and anticipation for his debut as an actor.
Seungkwan recently concluded the encore performances for Seventeen's world tour ‘NEW_’ and is currently holding the unit concert ‘Serenade ON STAGE’ with Dokyeom.
