AKMU's Chanhyuk & Suhyun Drop Stunning Photoshoot

AKMU has released their fourth full-length album, 'Opening', to mark their 12th debut anniversary, and has unveiled a digital pictorial with eyes magazine. This pictorial, released alongside their comeback after seven years, captures AKMU's growth narrative.

Shedding their past image as the 'nation's siblings' who bickered yet supported each other, the pictorial showcases a more solid and deepened AKMU after enduring times of solitude and hardship. The photoshoot took place against a backdrop of a space filled with fairy-tale imagination, where AKMU naturally expressed the free mood of their self-defining days and their current maturity.

In the pictorial, Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Su-hyun wore outfits from PLAY COMME des GARÇONS' Spring/Summer 2026 collection. They showcased various styles by layering items such as striped shirts featuring the prominent heart logo, large dot heart t-shirts, and rhinestone-embellished heart cardigans.

AKMU's new album 'Opening' consists of a total of 11 songs, including the title track 'Joy, Sadness, Beautiful Mind'. The album contains the time the members have experienced and their matured musical colors, with Lee Chan-hyuk writing and composing all the songs.

This album reinterprets genres from the mid-to-late 20th century, such as folk, country, and rock and roll, with a modern sensibility, and offers comfort by capturing raw instrument sounds and voices without artificial sounds. This musical approach appeals to middle-aged and older audiences.
