BTS Jungkook Apologizes for Profanity During Live Stream

Group BTS member Jungkook has apologized to fans for the profanity he used during a recent live broadcast. Jungkook began by saying on the fan communication platform Weverse, "I need to apologize to ARMY (fandom name)." While defending his actions, saying, "I don't personally know if I did something significantly wrong. I'm not a public figure, and these are words that people working on YouTube and in this industry all use," he added, "​Since I haven't shown that side of myself before, I thought ARMY might have felt uncomfortable seeing it. In that regard, I want to apologize to ARMY who felt uncomfortable, and I will refrain from doing so (in the future)."

Regarding some critical public opinion, Jungkook stated, "I don't have much to say to people who are just busy criticizing everything," and "​If I get sued, it's not my problem, but I'm grateful for your interest." He apologized again, saying, "​I was in such a good mood that day because of the comeback. Anyway, I'm sorry to our ARMY who felt uncomfortable." He added, "​I don't know where I'll go next. I won't commit a crime or do anything truly bad, but as a person, I can sometimes be like that. If it's uncomfortable or you don't think it's right, please point it out. I will look at it and accept it."

Previously, on the morning of February 26th, Jungkook caused controversy during a personal live broadcast by swearing at an acquaintance, using vulgar language, confessing to past smoking, and expressing dissatisfaction with his agency. At the time, he also responded to fans' suggestions to end the broadcast by saying, "Don't tell me what to do." The video in question has since been deleted.

Meanwhile, BTS, the group Jungkook belongs to, released their 5th full-length album 'Arirang' on the 20th of last month and is currently promoting their title track 'Swim'. They will embark on a new world tour starting from the Goyang Stadium in Gyeonggi Province on the 9th.
