According to distributor Showbox on the 25th, "The Man Who Lived with the King" exceeded 15 million viewers that afternoon. This makes it the third film in history to surpass 15 million viewers, following "The Admiral: Roaring Currents" (17.61 million) and "Extreme Job" (16.26 million). It has also climbed to third place in the all-time box office rankings, surpassing films like "Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds" (14.41 million) and "Ode to My Father" (14.25 million).
"The Man Who Lived with the King" has narrowed the gap with "Extreme Job," currently in second place, to approximately 1.26 million viewers, and there is a possibility of a ranking change depending on its long-term box office performance. Director Jang Hang-jun has earned his first "10 million viewer director" title with this work. Despite being released 50 days ago, the film maintains a high seat occupancy rate, drawing attention to whether it will break existing box office records.
