Park Se Young, Han Go Eun Mother-Daughter Conflict Teased

Actress Park Se-young will return to the screen after a four-year hiatus following her marriage and childbirth, starring in MBC's new daily drama '​Family Relationship Certificate'. The drama depicts the journey of a child, branded as the cause of a family's ruin from birth, as they fight against societal prejudice and a harsh fate to reclaim their life.

The drama's production team released still cuts featuring Park Se-young, Han Go-eun, and Jeon No-min. The released photos show a family dinner celebrating Cha Min-gi's (Jeon No-min) birthday. Despite the warm atmosphere, subtle tension and mother-daughter conflict between daughter Na Jin-i (Park Se-young) and mother Na Se-ri (Han Go-eun) can be glimpsed. Na Jin-i stares coldly at her mother with a stern expression, while Na Se-ri cannot hide her complex emotions in the face of her daughter's cold reaction. Cha Min-gi tries to ease the mood, but a chilling atmosphere flows between the mother and daughter, foreshadowing the cracks that will appear in the family.

Additionally, the released main trailer begins with a young Na Jin-i spending happy times with her mother Na Se-ri, but quickly shifts to show school bullying due to the stigma of being 'the mistress's daughter' and her fated encounter with Do Do-hee (Park Sol-a) as an adult. The mother-daughter conflict between Na Jin-i and Na Se-ri also reveals a deepening emotional chasm, while the anger of Noh Young-joo (Im Ji-eun) and Cha Seung-hyun (Seo Do-young), along with the line "You shouldn't have been born," heightens the drama's tension. At the end of the trailer, Na Jin-i, dressed in mourning attire, walks out of a funeral hall, accompanied by the line, "I woke up to find myself the daughter of a criminal," hinting at further trials.

Three special posters also showcase the characters' intertwined relationships. The posters highlight the conflicting romance between Na Jin-i, Im Ji-hoo (Seong Yi-an), and Do Do-hee, the complex mother-daughter narrative of Na Jin-i and her mother Na Se-ri, and a family photo placed on a family relationship certificate, revealing a fractured family and sparking curiosity about relationship changes with the phrase, "Can we truly become a family?"

'Family Relationship Certificate' is scheduled to premiere on July 6th.
