Beauty in the Beast Set Controversy Apology

Studio 329, the production company for the upcoming Netflix series "Beauty in the Beast" (tentative title), has apologized for the controversy surrounding filming disruptions. The company stated that filming took place on April 1st and 2nd along the cherry blossom road in Gaegeum-dong, Busan, and that this was done with official notification and requests for cooperation from relevant departments, including the Busanjin-gu Office and the Busanjin Police Station.

Studio 329 explained that they had implemented control measures, including deploying management personnel and police officers, in accordance with procedures. However, they expressed deep apologies for causing inconvenience to citizens who visited to enjoy the cherry blossoms during the filming period.

The production company added that they will do their best to minimize inconvenience by more carefully considering the impact on the surrounding environment and public use in future filming.

Previously, approximately 20 meters of the main deck of the Gaegeum-dong cherry blossom road was completely blocked off for two days due to the filming of "Beauty in the Beast." Specifically, before the main filming, equipment and vehicles occupied the narrow road, and some nighttime lighting was turned off, causing inconvenience to visitors. This led to criticism on social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Threads regarding the decision to proceed with filming during the cherry blossom season.

Meanwhile, "Beauty in the Beast" is a fantasy romance that depicts the story of Min-su, a girl with the secret of transforming into a wolf, as she meets Hae-jun and Do-ha. The cast includes Kim Min-ju, Lomon, and Moon Sang-min. The series is directed by Jin Hyuk and written by Jin Han-sae.
