BOYNEXTDOOR Tops First Full Album Chart

The idol group BOYNEXTDOOR, gaining popularity through word-of-mouth, has topped charts in Korea, China, and Japan with their first full-length album.

The title track 'VIRAL' from BOYNEXTDOOR's (Sungho, Riwoo, Myung Jaehyun, Taesan, Leehan, Woonhak) first full-length album entered the Melon Daily Chart at number 68 on the 8th. As of midnight on the 9th, multiple tracks from the album, including 'VIRAL' (5th), 'ADIOS!' (14th), 'Knock' (15th), 'Upside Down' (17th), 'Remember Me' (20th), 'DIVE' (21st), '06070' (23rd), and 'I Wonder' (30th), were positioned high on the Melon 'Top 100' chart. All tracks from the new release, except for the final track 'I Wonder, Always' which is only available on CD, charted, showcasing their strength as '​digital music powerhouses'.

The title track 'VIRAL' ranked 22nd on Apple Music's 'Today's Top 100: Korea' and 29th on Spotify Korea's 'Daily Top Songs' on the 8th. Furthermore, it secured the 2nd spot on QQ Music's 'Trending Chart' and 29th on the 'New Song Chart' in China on the 9th, and ranked 19th on Japan's Line Music 'New Song Top 100'. The music video for the new song also received significant attention in various regions on YouTube's 'Trending Music' chart, including Korea (2nd), Japan (8th), Taiwan (8th), Singapore (18th), New Zealand (23rd), and Hong Kong (29th). The new music video also entered the rankings in a total of 8 countries/regions on YouTube's 'Daily Popular Music Videos', including Korea (4th) and Taiwan (14th).

In terms of album sales, 'HOME' topped the Hanteo Chart's daily album chart for two consecutive days, raising expectations for their fourth consecutive million-seller achievement. As of midnight on the 10th, 'HOME' ranked first on Apple Music's 'Popular Albums' in Korea and Taiwan, and was in the top 10 in 10 countries/regions including China, Indonesia, Japan, Turkey, Singapore, and Malaysia. Additionally, by 10 AM on the 10th, it was ranked on iTunes' 'Top Albums' charts in a total of 16 countries/regions, including the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Canada, Brazil, and Japan, and reached number one in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Mongolia, and Indonesia.

The music video for BOYNEXTDOOR's title track 'VIRAL' is currently being screened at Shinsegae Square, an outdoor media facility of Shinsegae Department Store. The screening of hourly chime videos and the music video to commemorate the release of the new album began at 6 PM on the 8th. This video, produced with the concept of the first full-length album and the title track as its theme, features the members' portraits displayed across the massive media facade, receiving a positive response.
