Netflix series 'Bloodhounds' Season 2, released on the 3rd, highlights upgraded action and deepened relationships as key viewing points. This season depicts Gunwoo (Woo Do-hwan) and Woojin (Lee Sang-yi) once again throwing punches against a global illegal boxing league dominated by money and violence, after taking down a group of heinous illegal loan sharks.

Director Kim Joo-hwan stated that he further strengthened the three elements from Season 1: friendship, action, and clear villains to be vanquished. He added, "I wanted to portray friendship as deeper and more intense, action as faster and stronger, and villains as more formidable and brutal." He also mentioned that the enemies in this season are stronger than in Season 1, and it will be a story of adults realizing they must embrace and utilize their own shadows to fight against evil. Furthermore, he pointed to deepened bromance and action scenes completed with one heart by the actors and staff as viewing points.

The relationship between the boxing duo Gunwoo and Woojin returns stronger and more solid. Gunwoo has grown into a boxing champion over the past three years, but he agonizes over the situation where his loved ones are hurt due to the new rival Baekjeong (Jung Ji-hoon). Woo Do-hwan said, "I wanted to show Gunwoo's growth, both physically and mentally," and asked viewers to look forward to the fierce struggle against the strengthened villains. Lee Sang-yi, playing Woojin, portrays a more mature and dependable inner self than in Season 1, and requested viewers to anticipate "​Woojin's desperate action to protect his family, the bond of blood brothers, and the bromance."

The new villain 'Baekjeong,' who will confront Gunwoo and Woojin, is played by Jung Ji-hoon, showcasing a dramatic transformation. Regarding the Baekjeong character, described as the ruler of the illegal boxing league and an 'unhuman weapon,' Jung Ji-hoon stated, "​He's a character who feels pleasure as people feel pain," emphasizing the importance of inner instincts. This marks his first 'dark transformation' in his 23-year career, and he is expected to display a ruthless charisma that is the complete opposite of his previous good-natured image.

'Bloodhounds' Season 2 features bare-knuckle bloody battles on an octagonal ring set against the backdrop of a global illegal boxing league. Director Kim Joo-hwan revealed that he meticulously planned the lighting and camera movements to capture the action, while martial arts director Jung Sung-ho defined the action concept as '​insane striking action,' explaining that they utilized a variety of boxing skills not shown in Season 1 and enhanced the intuitive impact.
