Trot Singer Jeong Dong Won Completes Marine Corps Training

Singer Jeong Dong-won revealed his improved appearance at the Marine Corps recruit completion ceremony. KFN (formerly Defense TV) live-streamed the completion ceremony for the 1327th Marine Corps recruits on YouTube on the 2nd. During the ceremony, Jeong Dong-won was captured on camera wearing his Marine Corps uniform and looking highly disciplined. His face, tanned from training, his tightly shut lips, and his crisp salute exuded a more mature aura than before his enlistment.

Jeong Dong-won, born in 2007, enlisted in the Marine Corps Training Command on February 23rd and completed approximately six weeks of basic military training. Before enlisting, he had repeatedly expressed his strong desire to voluntarily join the Marines through platforms like YouTube. Last June, he even released a video of himself meeting with singer Oh Jong-hyuk, a Marine Corps veteran, to receive advice about military life. At the time, his agency stated, "Jeong Dong-won plans to faithfully fulfill his duty of national defense in accordance with his long-held aspirations."

After the completion ceremony, Jeong Dong-won personally greeted his fans through his social media. He announced, "Victory! This is Private Jeong Dong-won. To all the 'Gomshin' (girlfriends of soldiers) of 'Woojoo Chongdongwon' (Universe Mobilization, his fandom name), I have completed training healthily!" He expressed gratitude for his fans' support and his determination to work hard in the future. He also showed his affection for his fans, saying, "Woojoo, I miss you! Please wait a little longer. I am always sorry, thankful, and I love you."

Jeong Dong-won also expressed his gratitude to the platoon leaders of the recruit training center and sent a message of encouragement to his fellow recruits and instructors, saying, "I will work hard in my active duty assignment too! 1327th class, let's all stay healthy and fight until the day we are discharged." In the accompanying photos, Jeong Dong-won displayed a soldierly and dignified appearance with his short-cropped hair, slightly tanned skin from training, and a more defined gaze.
