BTS Jimin Goes Blonde: K-Pop Star's New Look

BTS member Jimin is continuously drawing attention for his long blonde hairstyle showcased during the 'Arirang World Tour'. He has been receiving enthusiastic responses from fans by presenting different variations of the style at each stop on the North American tour.

On the first day of the concert held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on May 23 (local time), Jimin appeared with a style featuring braided sections on top of his long blonde hair, capturing everyone's attention. This style quickly spread on social media right after the performance, trending with the keyword '​JIMIN BRAIDS'.

Jimin's hairstyle has also gained immense popularity on online platforms. Challenge videos imitating this style became a trend on TikTok, and Lourdes Stephen, an anchor on 'Al Rojo Vivo', a news program on Telemundo, the largest Spanish-language broadcaster in the United States, even paid homage to the same hairstyle by using Jimin's song 'Who' as background music.

Even before this North American tour, Jimin had been maintaining his long blonde hair and experimenting with various styles. His long blonde hair, shown during a comeback live stage at Gwanghwamun Square in March, garnered significant attention and earned nicknames such as 'Lion Jimin' and 'That Bukcheong Lion Kid'.

In an interview, the Vice President of Big Hit Music revealed that the decision for Jimin to keep his hair long was due to his strong personal will. Jimin himself also directly mentioned during a live broadcast that when he decided to grow his hair long, there was significant opposition from his agency and those around him, but only his mother supported the idea, clearly demonstrating his firm resolve regarding his style.
