Yeon Sangho Praises Shin Hyunbeen's Personality

Director Yeon Sang-ho publicly praised actress Shin Hyun-been's character. This was revealed on the KBS Cool FM radio show "Park Myung-soo's Radio Show" on May 8th, during the segment "Legendary Masters." Director Yeon Sang-ho and actress Shin Hyun-been, who appeared in the film "The Bequeathed," were guests on the broadcast.

Shin Hyun-been has appeared in four of director Yeon Sang-ho's works and is referred to as "Yeon Sang-ho's persona." Regarding their connection, Director Yeon explained, "We first met when I only wrote the script for 'The Cursed,' and then we worked together as director and actor for the first time in 'The Book of Revelation.'" He then described how this led to subsequent collaborations in "The Odd Family: Zombie on Sale" and "The Bequeathed." He added, "​As I plan and talk a lot on set... I have to pull at least one person out [of the situation]."

Director Yeon Sang-ho praised Shin Hyun-been, saying, "First of all, she is a very good person. Her acting is good, but her attitude on set, the way she treats staff and colleagues, is something I've rarely seen in my life among actors and staff." He also mentioned asking about her upbringing, saying, "​As someone raising children myself, I wondered how she could have grown into such a wonderful young person." He highly praised her character, noting, "​Her reactions are the best. Even if I say something trivial, she laughs heartily."

Meanwhile, the film "The Bequeathed," starring director Yeon Sang-ho and actress Shin Hyun-been, tells the story of survivors isolated inside a building, sealed off due to an unidentified outbreak, fighting against infected individuals who evolve in unpredictable ways. The film is scheduled for release on the 21st.
