Yoo Hae-jin, Ryu Seung-ryong Win Top Prizes at Blue Dragon Awards

At the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards, Yoo Hae-jin for the film 'The King and the Clown' and Ryu Seung-ryong for the drama 'The Story of Manager Kim Working at a Large Corporation in Seoul' won the Grand Prize. The film 'The King and the Clown' won a total of four awards, becoming the most awarded film.

The awards ceremony, held on the 8th at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, was hosted by Shin Dong-yup, Park Bo-gum, and Suzy. Ryu Seung-ryong won the Grand Prize for the Broadcast Category for JTBC's drama 'The Story of Manager Kim Working at a Large Corporation in Seoul,' and Yoo Hae-jin won the Grand Prize for the Film Category for 'The King and the Clown.'

Upon receiving his award, Yoo Hae-jin said, "The cameras slowly started coming towards me, so I thought I might be getting the Best Picture award. I realized this is what a Grand Prize trophy looks like," he said. "I am immensely grateful to the 17 million audience members who watched our film. I am relieved and very happy that they seemed to appreciate the forgotten charm of the theater." He also expressed his gratitude to his co-star Park Ji-hoon, adding, "The reason I could immerse myself in my acting was thanks to actor Park Ji-hoon's gaze."

Ryu Seung-ryong remarked, "It is deeply moving to receive the Grand Prize with Yoo Hae-jin, with whom I worked part-time at a bidet factory a long time ago." He continued, "I am grateful to JTBC for boldly providing a platform for comfort and empathy in a work that could have easily been overlooked in a drama." He stated, "Saving someone isn't a grand gesture. It's a single word spoken with sincerity." He added, "I believe that if we can empathize a little more, forgive each other, and find courage in the ordinary, we can become a gift to one another."

At the awards ceremony, the Best Actor Award for the Broadcast Category went to Hyun Bin ('Made in Korea') and Park Bo-young ('Unknown Seoul'), while the Best Actor Award for the Film Category was won by Park Jung-min ('Face') and Moon Ga-young ('What If'). In his acceptance speech, Hyun Bin expressed his gratitude to his wife, Son Ye-jin, and Park Bo-young honestly shared, "I really dislike competition, and there are many times when it's burdensome and difficult to prove my worth every moment."
