Baeksang Arts Awards: Yoo Hae-jin, Ryu Seung-ryong Win Grand Prize
At the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards, the Grand Prize for Film went to Yoo Hae-jin for 'The King and the Man', and the Grand Prize for Television went to Ryu Seung-ryong for 'Mr. Kim, Who Works for a Large Corporation in Seoul'. Yoo Hae-jin expressed his gratitude to the 17 million audience members, stating, "It felt good to feel the taste of the theater, which I had forgotten, when I went to greet the audience." Ryu Seung-ryong said, "Like Naksu in the play, I'm giving myself a gift for the first time. Seung-ryong, you worked hard."

The Best Film Award went to Director Park Chan-wook's 'It Cannot Be Helped'. Director Park said, "We need an attitude of constantly attempting jokes, like in this film," adding, "because we can find an exit amidst anger and sorrow." Park Ji-hoon, who played Prince Suyang in the film 'The King and the Man', won the Best New Actor Award for Film and the Naver Popularity Award. The Best Supporting Actor Award for Film went to Lee Sung-min for 'It Cannot Be Helped', and the Best Supporting Actress Award went to Shin Se-kyung for 'Humint'. The Best Actor and Actress Awards for Film went to Park Jung-min for 'Face' and Moon Ga-young for 'If We Were'.
The Best Director Award for Film went to Director Yoon Ga-eun for 'The Master of the World'. Director Yoon said, "I am grateful to the survivors of kinship sexual violence who shared their most painful and joyful stories through books, films, documentaries, and comments." Seo Soo-bin, the lead actress in 'The Master of the World', received the Best New Actress Award. The Best Screenplay Award for Film went to Director Byun Sung-hyun and Writer Lee Jin-sung for 'Good News', and the Arts Award went to Music Director Lee Min-hwi for 'Pavanne'.
