Bae Sang Arts Awards: Jang Hangjun vs. Park Chanwook

The 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards will be held on May 8th. In the film category, "The King and the Man" (Director Jang Hang-jun) and "It's Unavoidable" (Director Park Chan-wook) will compete, while the broadcast category features numerous strong contenders. The awards ceremony will take place at COEX Hall D in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, starting at 7:50 PM, with Shin Dong-yup, Suzy, and Park Bo-gum serving as hosts.

The broadcast category will bring together the key figures of K-content. The "Eunjoong and Sangyeon" team will have a full turnout, including Kim Go-eun, Park Ji-hyun, and Kim Geon-woo, along with the production staff. The "Unknown Seoul" team will also be attended by Director Park Shin-woo, writer Lee Kang, Park Bo-young, and Park Jin-young. The "Story of Manager Kim, Who Works at a Large Corporation and Owns a House in Seoul" team has confirmed attendance from Director Jo Hyun-tak, Ryu Seung-ryong, Yoo Seung-mok, and Myung Se-bin. From the "Fine: Country Folk" team, visual effects director Kim Nam-sik, Im Soo-jung, Kim Jin-wook, and Kim Min will be present.

The "Tyrant Chef" team will feature Director Jang Tae-yu, Im Yoon-ah, and Lee Chae-min. The "Made in Korea" team will include Director Woo Min-ho, cinematographer Kim Tae-sung, and Hyun Bin. Shin Hye-sun and Lee Yi-dam from "​Lady Dua", and Jin Sun-kyu and Bang Hyo-rin from "​The Mare" will also attend. Ha Yoon-kyung and Choi Ji-soo from "​Undercover Miss Hong" are also nominated. Lee Jun-ho from "Typhoon Corporation" will return to the Baeksang Awards after four years as a nominee for Best Actor, and Ji Sung from "Judge Lee Han-young" will also attend, adding to the event's significance. Yoo Jae-myung from "Love Me" will be presenting an award for Best Supporting Actor in film and is also nominated for Best Supporting Actor in the broadcast category. Jang Seung-jo from "You Killed It" will be attending the Baeksang Awards for the first time.

Bae Na-ra from "Weak Hero Class 2", Jung Joon-won and Shin Si-a from "A Year of the Wise Intern", and Jeon So-young from "Honor: Court of Her" will also be in attendance. Shin Si-a is the only nominee simultaneously nominated for Best New Actress in both the broadcast and film categories. Director Yoo Young-eun from "Does This Love Translate?", music director Kang Seung-won from "The Seasons", and art director Yoon Jin-hee from "Crime Scene Zero" will also attend as nominees for the Arts Award.

Nominees for the Variety Award include Kwak Bum, Kian84, Kim Won-hoon, and Choo Sung-hoon. Kim Yeon-koung, Seol In-ah, Lee Su-ji, Jang Do-yeon, and Hong Jin-kyung will also walk the red carpet. Lee Su-ji, last year's winner, will be both a presenter and a nominee. Key figures from shows such as "Extreme 84," "Rookie Director Kim Yeon-koung," "Our Ballad," "Office Workers Season 2," and "Black and White Chef: Cooking Class War Season 2" will also attend to enjoy the festival.
