Kim Young Dae to Enlist in Military April 10

Actor Kim Young-dae will enlist in active duty in April. Kim Young-dae received a Grade 3 active duty classification in his physical examination. His enlistment date is in April, and he is scheduled to be discharged in October 2027.

Kim Young-dae decided to enlist in active duty before turning 30. While male celebrities born in 1996 have already completed their service or announced their enlistment, Kim Young-dae had been preparing for his enlistment, but his enlistment notice arrived late, causing a delay. He has expressed his desire to fulfill his military duty through active duty enlistment in several interviews.

Last November, in an interview following the conclusion of the TVING drama 'Dear X', Kim Young-dae mentioned Kim Do-hoon and Kim Yoo-jung as actors he would like to visit him during his military service. He expressed his ambition to actively pursue his career with the same passion as when he was a rookie after his discharge, stating, "I have no burden about losing what I've achieved or regressing from my current level. I believe it will be an opportunity for a new beginning, a fresh start for me." He also added that he would prepare for future projects and strengthen his resolve during his military service.

With 'Dear X', Kim Young-dae has now released all the projects he had filmed prior to his enlistment. There are no upcoming works scheduled to be released during his military service (military hiatus), and he will have to wait until after his discharge to meet fans again.
