Yoo Yeonseok's Father Choi Won Young's Death Truth

In the 15th episode of SBS's Friday-Saturday drama 'The Law Cafe,' Shin Ki-joong (Choi Won-young), the father of Shin Sang (Yoo Yeon-seok) and a deceased prosecutor, was shown recalling his family. After regaining his memories, Shin Ki-joong said to his son, Shin Sang, "It's our Lee-rang," and Shin Sang, calling him "Dad," shed tears. Shin Ki-joong also teared up upon seeing his wife, Park Kyung-hwa (Kim Mi-kyung), and daughter, Shin Sa-rang (Son Yeo-eun).

Reunited with his family, Shin Ki-joong confessed to his son, Shin Sang, that he couldn't remember how he died. He recalled that his memory cut off while he was retrieving evidence for the Yoon teacher's case. Shin Sang expressed his desire to hear his father's story rather than others', and Shin Ki-joong recalled the day he met Yoon teacher. He explained that at the time, Yoon teacher had received a non-prosecution disposition for a just judgment against the students who had bullied him, but afterward, numerous lawsuits and complaints poured in.

Shin Ki-joong stated that he had warned Yoon teacher to speak amicably with those around him, being wary of people who cleverly manipulated the law. After a pursuit, Yoon teacher witnessed a prosecutor from the prosecution office meeting with the parents of the bullying students and recorded their conversation, informing Shin Ki-joong. Shin Ki-joong died while trying to retrieve that recording device. According to Shin Sang, on the day of the accident, Yoon teacher was found to have committed suicide.

Upon hearing this news, Shin Ki-joong instinctively felt that everything had been orchestrated by someone. In reality, Shin Ki-joong had died in an accident, drug components were detected in his body, and there were rumors that he had harassed Yoon Dae-myung. Shin Sang also apologized, admitting he had thought Shin Ki-joong was a corrupt prosecutor, and promised to restore his father's honor. Meanwhile, Yang Byung-il (Choi Kwang-il), the chairman of Taebaek, confessed to his son Yang Do-kyung (Kim Kyung-nam) that he was the prosecutor who had harassed Yoon Dae-myung at the request of the bullying students' fathers. He claimed he did not order a murder, but it was revealed that he administered drugs to Shin Ki-joong, who was dying in a traffic accident. Yang Byung-il grew anxious upon learning that Shin Ki-joong knew the location of the recording device containing details of his corruption.
