"I Am Solo" Season 28: Youngja & Youngchul Update

Youngsik and Hyunsuk officially confirmed their relationship on SBS Plus and ENA's "I Am Solo" Season 28, a special for divorced individuals. The couple revealed their relationship through a YouTube channel, stating they are "more than just friends." Hyunsuk shared her current situation, mentioning she is raising three children and runs a group purchasing business. She also expressed a desire to be "forgotten" after appearing on "I Am Solo."

Although Youngsik and Hyunsuk did not form a couple during the filming of "I Am Solo," they developed a romantic relationship after the program's recording. Youngsik explained that he was cautious due to his children and prioritized them over the show's popularity, leading him to quietly continue their relationship. Currently, Youngsik lives in Gwangju and Hyunsuk in Incheon, navigating a long-distance relationship. Their relationship reportedly began with Hyunsuk's proactive confession.

In addition to the Youngsik-Hyunsuk couple, Jeongsuk and Sangcheol also developed into a real-life couple and got married in "I Am Solo" Season 28. Youngja and Youngcheol also married in January. Furthermore, Youngho and Oksoon became legal spouses by registering their marriage, and Kwangsu and Jeonghee are publicly dating.

The couple went through multiple breakups and reconciliations early in their relationship. They recalled a time when Youngja, feeling insecure because Youngcheol didn't offer reassurance during her pregnancy, ended the relationship. Youngcheol explained that he was being cautious at the time, not wanting to burden her.

Youngcheol also mentioned an incident where his wife requested to see divorce papers due to anxiety caused by external scrutiny, malicious comments, and infidelity rumors. Youngja revealed that past experiences of distrust from her previous marriage made it difficult for her to express her true feelings. Regarding financial matters, Youngja expressed a desire for practical adjustments concerning Youngcheol's spending on his hobbies.
