White Paper: Infertility Stress Leads to Runaway

Baek Seo-ra relieved her infertility stress through shopping and then ran away from home after a marital dispute. The 14th episode of TV Chosun's weekend drama 'Doctor Shin,' aired on April 26th, depicted the conflict between Ha Yong-joong (played by Ahn Woo-yeon) and Mo-mo (played by Baek Seo-ra).

Ha Yong-joong criticized Mo-mo for easily firing the housekeeper and buying clothes she wouldn't wear, pointing out that she was relieving her stress from infertility through shopping.

In response, Mo-mo argued back without backing down, leading to a marital dispute. She then packed her bags and left home, saying, "I guess I have to be the one to leave."

Later, Mo-mo met Ha Yong-joong's brother, James (played by Jeon No-min), and confessed, "I thought I'd get pregnant right away. Isn't shopping the easiest way to change your mood? That's how I cope. Isn't it better than taking antidepressants and going to the hospital?" She revealed that her reason for buying clothes was her worries about infertility.

James advised her, "You shouldn't just pack your bags and leave like that," assuring her that she would soon have a baby. Mo-mo declared, "​I'm hurt my pride, what can I do? It's over after two texts. Is this why I got married? I won't go back until he apologizes properly."
