BOYNEXTDOOR, IVE: K-Pop's New Kid Stars

BoyNextDoor (referred to as Bonkdo) stated that they feel a sense of responsibility for the title 'Children's President.' Bonkdo met with Ilgan Sports on the 4th in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, to discuss their new album before its release.

When asked about the assessment that they are the 'next 'Children's President' following IVE,' Bonkdo replied, "​It's a very honorable title." They added, "​We also grew up dreaming while watching the seniors we saw in elementary school, so we feel a greater sense of responsibility and duty to create good dreams for young friends."

Member Myung Jaehyun particularly shared, "Before, we used to tell children 'Listen to our songs,' but now, when we pass by, elementary school friends recognize us first, saying 'Hey, it's Myung Jaehyun!' and they get happy or run up to ask for a photo." This remark drew laughter. He added, "​Every time I experience it firsthand on site, it feels amazing, I'm grateful, and I feel a sense of responsibility."

Bonkdo will make their comeback by releasing their first full-length album 'HOME' on the 8th at 6 PM. This album includes a total of nine tracks, including the title song 'Earth, Wind & Fire.'

In the new album, all members are credited, sharing their autobiographical stories. Bonkdo explained, "​As it's our first full-length album and we're approaching our third anniversary since debut, we wanted to summarize Chapter 1 of Bonkdo's story." They continued, "​We wanted to create an album like a time capsule so that when we feel like we might lose our initial resolve as time passes after our debut, we can listen to this album and regain our初心 (chōshin - initial resolve)."
