Robert Downey Jr. Criticizes Influencers

Actor Robert Downey Jr. (RDJ), famous for "Iron Man," dismissed the prediction that influencers will lead future stardom as "complete nonsense."

RDJ recently appeared on the program "Conversation for the Daughters" and stated his belief that true stars will be defined by the value of the content they create. He pointed out that while the rise of self-made online stars is not necessarily negative, there has been a fundamental shift in how people differentiate themselves.

He explained that it's an era where one can become famous by simply taking a few photos with a smartphone, but it requires much more effort than before to reveal one's true individuality.

RDJ emphasized that he hopes the younger generation will choose learning and creation over chasing mere "attention" online. He said he hopes young people will say, "Rather than simply becoming an influencer who shows off, I want to create and build something in my own style, educate myself, and produce valuable results."

Every time people say, "The stars of the future will be influencers," he asserted, "It's just utter nonsense," pointing to the flip side of influencer culture, which packages exaggerated self-promotion convincingly.
