Son Tae Young's Son Takes on Used Car for School Commute

Actress Son Tae-young shared a driving practice session with her 17-year-old son, Rook-hee. This was revealed through a video titled 'Mom Son Tae-young and Son's New Jersey Drive (Rook-hee's Face Revealed)' posted on Son Tae-young's YouTube channel.

In the video, Son Tae-young mentioned she left early in the morning for her son's soccer game, saying, "I left at 6:30 AM to avoid traffic." She also expressed her desire for her son to practice driving, stating, "All the other kids drove themselves here. It would be great if Rook-hee could practice quickly and be able to drive too."

A few days later, Rook-hee took the wheel and headed to school. He gripped the steering wheel tightly with both hands, appearing nervous but driving calmly. Son Tae-young watched him and joked, "You'll get to school before the day is over, right?" while also encouraging him, "You're doing well. It's probably easier with less traffic in the morning." Rook-hee replied, "The way back is easier than the way here," and Son Tae-young advised, "Here, if you drive at the speed limit, no one honks behind you. You can go at your own pace. Those who need to go faster will pass you."

After safely arriving at school, Son Tae-young moved to the driver's seat. She laughed, saying, "I have to drive home, but my hands are sweaty on the steering wheel. He really is Kwon Sang-woo's son. Both of them sweat a lot from their hands when they're nervous." Previously, Son Tae-young had also revealed that she personally purchased a used car for her son, Rook-hee.

Son Tae-young married Kwon Sang-woo in 2008 and gave birth to a son in 2009 and a daughter in 2015. She is currently living in the United States for her children's education.
