Director Hwang Suk-hee Warns of Legal Action Against Namu Wiki
Translator Hwang Seok-ho is once again facing scrutiny as past allegations of sexual offenses have resurfaced, with his previous legal threats against Namu Wiki for defamation being brought back into the spotlight.
In April 2016, Hwang Seok-ho requested Namu Wiki to cease publication of his profile. He cited "defamation" as the reason and warned that Namu Wiki would face legal repercussions if the content was not removed. He also expressed dissatisfaction that no action was taken despite his previous指摘 of defamatory and insulting content in the 'Detroit Metal City' entry. He stated, "I will wait until the end of this week and then sue the author of the defamatory post and Namu Wiki for allowing it. This is my final notice."

In response, Namu Wiki confirmed the request came from 'Hwang Seok-ho' and informed him that the action taken was 'temporary measures.'

Meanwhile, Hwang Seok-ho deleted all his Instagram posts on the same day, seemingly erasing his online presence. Currently, only his statement regarding the 'sexual offense allegations report,' posted that morning, remains.
Earlier, Dispatch reported that Hwang Seok-ho had been indicted twice in the past for charges including causing injury through sexual assault and quasi-rape, and was released on probation in both cases.
