Yoo Seonho Exits 1 Night 2 Days: What's Next?

Actor Yoo Seon-ho will be leaving KBS2's variety show '2 Days & 1 Night' Season 4, a program he has been a part of for three and a half years. On the 12th, the '2 Days & 1 Night' production team officially announced, "Member Yoo Seon-ho, who has been with us for the long period of three and a half years, is graduating from '2 Days & 1 Night'." They also stated that he plans to directly bid farewell to viewers on the broadcast airing on the 31st.

At the site of his final filming, Yoo Seon-ho expressed his special affection for the program, saying, "'2 Days & 1 Night' was the program that encompassed my entire 20s." He added, "It was a precious experience that I will never forget in my life." Furthermore, he commented on his relationships with his colleagues, stating, "Although my journey on '2 Days & 1 Night' has ended, I am so happy and grateful to have gained reliable older brothers who will be with me for life." He also extended his gratitude to his fans, saying, "I am also thankful to the viewers who loved me, who was nobody."

Yoo Seon-ho joined '2 Days & 1 Night' as a new member in December 2022, drawing attention at the time as the first member born in the 2000s in the program's history. With his unique bright energy and honest charm, he received love from viewers and took on the role of the youngest member of the program. In particular, his brotherly chemistry with Moon Se-yoon and DinDin provided great laughter to the audience. Through '2 Days & 1 Night', Yoo Seon-ho's variety skills were recognized, leading to remarkable achievements such as winning the Rookie Award and the Grand Prize as a group at the 2023 KBS Entertainment Awards, and the Excellence Award in 2025.

With Yoo Seon-ho's departure, '2 Days & 1 Night' faces another change in its cast. Following the previous departure of broadcaster Jo Se-ho due to personal issues, the program had maintained a five-member system. Consequently, industry attention is now focused on a '​new face' to fill this vacancy. While the production team has previously filled gaps with a star-studded lineup of guests, the departure of a fixed member leaves a significant challenge for the program's long-term direction. As a program with deep-rooted strength, there is keen interest in whether it can fill the void left by the youngest member, Yoo Seon-ho, and rebuild a complete six-member lineup to usher in a second golden age.

After leaving the program, Yoo Seon-ho plans to focus on his main profession, acting. He is scheduled to meet audiences through the movie 'Internship' (교생실습), which opens on the 13th, and the musical 'The Days' (그날들), which premieres on June 9th. The production team stated, "We sincerely thank Yoo Seon-ho for illuminating the program for such a long time with his youthful energy," and added, "We will continue to support Yoo Seon-ho's future endeavors as he showcases more diverse aspects of himself as an actor."
