Kangnam Joins "Legend of the Kitchen Soldier" OST

Singer Kangnam will be the first artist to participate in the OST for the TVING original drama "​The Legend of the Mess Hall Cook." The OST Part 1, "​The Beginning of a Legend," sung by Kangnam, will be released on various online music sites at 6 PM on the 12th.

"The Beginning of a Legend" is a rock genre song that captures an unstoppable sprint and a new beginning. It is characterized by its refreshing band sound and explosive energy, with Kangnam's unique positive energy and distinctive vocal tone adding to the powerful delivery of the message, "​Moving forward without yielding to any frustration."

This song is expected to create strong synergy with the growth narrative of Kang Sung-jae (played by Park Ji-hoon), a mess hall cook who wields a kitchen knife instead of a gun in the drama. Kang Sung-jae is a character who survives in the unfamiliar environment of the military in his own way and dreams of becoming a "legendary chef."

Kangnam, a former main vocalist of the group M.I.B., is currently active on his YouTube channel "​Neighborhood Friend Kangnami," which boasts approximately 1.44 million subscribers. He is loved as an all-around entertainer, active in variety shows, music, and daily life content.

"The Legend of the Mess Hall Cook" is based on the popular Naver webtoon of the same name and has gained popularity by securing a large fanbase with its unique subject matter of a military mess hall cook and realistic development. The drama will be simultaneously released on TVING and tvN every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 PM.
